- DBU is ranked in all five major polls for the fourth consecutive week. The Patriots are ranked as high as No. 17 by the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association.
- DBU took 2-of-3 on the road from Oral Roberts in Tulsa, Oklahoma, to win their third straight weekend series. After falling to Oral Roberts on a bases loaded walk in the ninth inning on Friday, the Patriots bounced back to win 6-1 and 6-5 over the Golden Eagles to take the series.
- DBU's game versus Oklahoma continues a nine-game stretch against opponents that reached the NCAA postseason last year.
- Rian Schwede worked a season-high 7.0 innings and allowed just one run on Sunday at Oral Roberts to improve to 3-0 on the season, while Nick Bonn earned his first career save after retiring the side in order in the ninth.
- Grant Jay's two home runs at Oral Roberts over the weekend moved him into a tie with Duncan McAlpine (2010-13) for second place on DBU's all-time home run list (48).
- Jay ranks sixth in the nation in slugging percentage (1.025) and tenth in home runs (6).
- Alabama transfer Mason Swinney delivered his first hit as a Patriot and also stole home in DBU's 6-5 win on Sunday.

SCOUTING OKLAHOMA
- The Sooners swept Cal State Northridge last weekend, outscoring the Matadors 22-4 in three games, to improve to 11-0 on the year. They are one of seven undefeated teams in the country.
- Oklahoma averages 8.5 runs per game on offense, hitting .330 as a club.
- The Sooners are very active on the basepaths. They are top 10 in the country in total steals (33, 10th) and steals per game (3.00, ninth). They are also fifth in the country in triples (7).
- Jason Walk leads the team in batting average (.412) and stolen bases (7).
- Five players for Oklahoma boast batting averages above .300: Walk (.432), Kyle Branch (.415), Dayton Tockey (.406), Sam Christiansen (.357), and Trey Gambill (.323).
- The Sooners pitching staff has been one of the best in the country. Their 2.41 ERA is sixth nationally, and their 1.14 WHIP is 19th.
 
SERIES HISTORY
Oklahoma holds a 26-18 edge over the Patriots in the all-time series, but DBU is 18-13 against the Sooners since the Patriots joined the NCAA Division I ranks in 2004. DBU took both meetings against Oklahoma last season and has won four of the last five.
