LAST TIME OUT
The Patriots notched their second straight victory to open the 2025 campaign, posting a 2-0 shutout over Regis on Saturday night at Mercy Street Soccer Complex in Dallas.
After a scoreless first half, DBU struck quickly in the 49th minute. Senior forward
Angelina Olmos broke the deadlock when she chased down a flicked header from Riley Olson, outran the Regis back line, and slipped a right-footed shot past goalkeeper Helen Strenger.
The Patriots doubled their advantage in the 77th minute, sparked by
McKenna Vela's blistering pace down the right flank. Vela's run into the box forced Regis defender Brielle Bickham into a foul, setting up a penalty kick.
Anne Louthan calmly buried the chance, sealing the 2-0 win.
Defensively, DBU was superb once again, holding the Rangers without a goal and limiting Regis to seven shots on the night.
