THE RUNDOWN
The No. 1-ranked DBU Women's Soccer team battled Oklahoma Christian to a scoreless draw on Saturday at Patriot Soccer Field, as the Patriots were unable to find the breakthrough goal despite controlling much of the match. DBU outshot the Eagles, 14-6, but settled for its second 0-0 draw of the season.
Ashley Washburn, the Lone Star Conference's leading scorer, paced the Patriot attack with a team-high four shots. DBU put four attempts on target, but Oklahoma Christian goalkeeper Breanna Wooten turned away each opportunity to keep the Patriots off the scoreboard.
Defensively, DBU continued its strong form, limiting the Eagles to just six shots. Freshman goalkeeper
Josie Juvera made two saves to help the Patriots secure shutout and maintain their position atop the LSC standings.
