DBU's Old Glory Gallop is a wonderful mix of Texas, Patriotism, and Cross Country. This multi-regional meet is an opportunity for collegiate cross-country teams to compete among a group of regionally diverse teams and enjoy the great things of Texas! Teams and spectators can experience photos with 1,500-pound longhorns, cowboys leading off the race on horseback, lasso tricks, great food and beverages, country music, and custom branded gear. Last but not least, student-athletes and teams have the opportunity to win custom awards if they place first at the meet!
Individual student-athletes have the chance to win a custom "cowboy crown" to ensure everyone knows they had the fastest time at The Old Glory Gallop. Teams with the highest score will be honored to return to their campus with a custom 6-inch champion belt buckle to prove their victory. The top seven finishers on each of the first place teams will also receive a custom 3-inch championship belt buckle.
Everything teams and spectators need to know about the Old Glory Gallop is provided below. We look forward to seeing you at DBU's Old Glory Gallop!
