The Patriots from Dallas Baptist dropped their second straight game to the University of Arkansas on Saturday afternoon in a rain shortened game. The 8-1 loss drops the Patriots to 2-2 on the year and Arkansas improves to 2-2.

Senior Barrett Pliler took the loss to fall to 0-1 on the season. He allowed five runs (all earned) on nine hits in 4.1 innings of work.

Sophomore Daniel Magness had the only RBI for the Patriots on a pinch hit in the top of the seventh inning.

DBU resumes action on Tuesday afternoon when they travel to Stillwater, Oklahoma to take on the Cowboys from Oklahoma State University at 6:30.
