The Dallas Baptist University Patriot baseball team finished their past road trip 4-5, brining their overall record to 11-10 on the season.

On the road trip DBU was swept by UC-Irvine, after losing two one-run games. The Patriots responded well in the tournament defeating Gonzaga, Monmouth, Pennsylvania and Southern Utah, but losing two games to Fresno State and Penn State.

The Patriots defeated Southern Utah 8-7 in 10 innings on Saturday afternoon for their final game of the Pepsi/Johnny Quik Classic. The University of San Francisco won the tournament, finishing with a 5-1 record.

Sophomore Daniel Magness was named to the All-Tournament Team for his play this past week in the Pepsi/Johnny Quik Classic. Magness finished the tournament with eight hits and nine RBI on the week.

The Patriots resume play on Tuesday afternoon when they travel to Norman, Oklahoma to take on the Sooners beginning at 3:00.
