The DBU Patriots fell to the Oklahoma Sooners on Tuesday night in Norman, Oklahoma by the score of 7-5. The loss drops the Patriots overall record to 17-13, while OU improves to 15-9 on the season.

Sophomore Randall Taylor was stuck with the loss, allowing seven runs, five earned, in five innings of work and falling to 5-3 on the season.

Leading the Patriots at the plate was Junior Drew Holder, who went 3 for 4 with one RBI, Sophomore Daniel Magness, who went 2 for 3 with an RBI and Junior Jeremy Goldschmeding, who added a solo homerun, his second of the season. Also contributing for the DBU included Sophomore Jimmy Thoma, who added a pinch hit RBI single and Junior Israel Victor, who added a RBI double.

DBU will resume action on Wednesday afternoon when they host Sam Houston State University beginning at 4:00 at Patriot Field.
