DBU defeated Texas Tech University by the score 9-3 Friday night at Dan Law Field.  Junior Jereme Wilson took the win for the Patriots, allowing only three hits in 7.2 innings.

Leading the Patriots at the plate was Junior second-baseman Matt Tucker, who went 2 for 5 on the evening with three RBI -- including a two-run homerun in the fourth inning.

First-baseman Daniel Magness went 2-2 with two RBI and one run scored.

Raiders second-baseman Joseph Callender led Texas Tech's offense, hitting all three of the Raiders' hits and RBI.

The Patriots look to take the series when they play game three against the Red Raiders on Saturday beginning at 6:30.
