The DBU Volleyball Team won their fifth straight match tonight after they defeated Tarleton State University, 3-1.  The Lady Patriots improve to 10-14 and 5-1 at home, while TSU fell to 9-11 on the season.

The Patriots came out strong tonight winning the first two games of the match in convincing fashion, 30-25 and 30-20.  After a small let down in game three, DBU bounced back and finished off the Lady Texans, 30-23 in game four.

Senior leadership once again played a key role in the victory for the Lady Patriots.  Seniors Jenna Pry, Brandi Moss, Ashlee Hawkins, and Lauren Ashlock all stepped up in different aspects of the match tonight.

Pry and Moss both dominated in kills tonight, with Moss crushing 19 winners, while Pry added 18 of her own.  Hawkins contributed with 26 more digs, bringing her season total to 322, while Ashlock had a team high seven blocks on the night.

With the emergence of young talent and senior leadership, the Patriots look to continue their winning streak Friday night, when they battle UT Permian-Basin, at 7:00 in the Burg.
