DBU's Women Soccer team defeated Texas A&M International, 2-0 in the season finale, on Saturday afternoon.  The Lady Patriots finished out the 2006 season with a 9-10 overall record, while the Dustdevils finished the season 4-13.

The Patriots took the early lead after Freshman Sarah Meierhofer chipped in a shot off of a save from the Dustdevils goalie.  Taking the 1-0 lead into halftime, the Patriots regrouped and scored early in the second half to finish out the scoring.  Sophomore Amanda Ferguson played a perfect ball to Senior Angelica Sandoval, who scored her eighth goal of the seaon.

The Patriots on the day had 19 shots on goal to seven for TAMIU.  Freshman goalie Emily Evans, had 4 saves and picked up her fifth shut out of the season.  Sophomore's Kimberly Wepler and Tasha Garr also had strong games for the Patriots, with their play in the middle of the field.

DBU will continue play next weekend when they play their regional qualifying game for their chance to compete in the NCCAA National Tournament.
