Patriots Drop Series to New Mexico

The Dallas Baptist University Patriots dropped two games of the three game series this past weekend against the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque, New Mexico, falling to 18-10 on the season. 

The Patriots dropped the first game in the series by the score of 10-9 in 10 innings on Thursday night.  Senior Israel Victor lead DBU at the plate, gonig 4 for 5 with three RBI. 

In game two on Friday night, DBU was defeated in the bottom of the ninth inning, 4-3.  Senior Cody Mongtomery, who had a three-run homerun and Freshman Evan Bigley, going two for three, lead the Patritos at the plate in the loss. 

DBU came away with a win on Saturday afternoon, defeating the Lobos for the score of 10-2.  Montgomery had six RBI in the game and Sophomore Austin Krum had four hits to lead DBU to victory. 

Junior Jordan Craft picked up the win, improving to 3-0 on the year, pitching five innings, allowing only one run on three hits. 

The Patriots resume action on Tuesday evening when they travel to Norman, Oklahoma to take on the Unviersity of Oklahoma beginning at 7:00.
