The Patriots losing streak increased to three games on Saturday afternoon, after DBU was defeated by UT-San Antonio at Patriot Field by the score of 8-4.

DBU was swept by the Roadrunners and the offense was held to only six runs in the entire series.  On the season the Patriots record is now 8-6, while the Roadrunners improve to 7-7.

The Patriots added another solo homerun by Freshman Brandon Bantz, his first collegiate homerun, giving DBU a 2-1 lead in the fourth inning.

In the fifth inning, Freshman Evan Bigley hit his own solo homerun, making the score 3-1.

DBU starter Junior Rodney Brantley, pitched the first five and two-thirds inning, allowing only one hit and an unearned run, but gave up back to back walks in the sixth and UTSA followed with a three-run homerun to retake the lead 4-3, chasing Brantley from the game.  Brantley fell to 3-1 on the season.
