DBU's Women Soccer Team took on UT Permian-Basin on Tuesday afternoon and defeated the Falcons, 3-0, at Patriot Field.  The victory snapped an eight game losing streak for the Lady Patriots and improved their overall record to 3-8 and conference record to 1-4.

The Patriots raced out to an early lead when Sophomore Sarah Meierhofer scored an unassisted goal in the 34th minute of the match.  Meierhofer then gave the Lady Patriots a 2-0 lead in the 59th minute when she scored her second unassisted goal of the match. 

Senior Mandy Gomez secured the victory for the Lady Patriots when she scored the third goal of the match off a double assist by Junior Brittni Wallace and Freshman Allyson Bales. 

The Lady Patriots dominated the match by out shooting the Falcons 21 to six and only allowing two shots on goal for which Sophomore Goalie Emily Evans saved each shot. 

DBU will look for their second straight victory on Friday night when they welcome Newman University to DBU for a 7:00 match.
