DBU's Women Soccer Team advanced to the 2007 NCCAA National Tournament after they won their regional tournament this past weekend.  The Lady Patriots defeated Central Christian College and Mid America Nazarene to secure their spot in the National Tournament.

The first game of regional's paired DBU up against Central Christian College.  The game proved to be a defensive battle, but the Lady Patriots leading scorer, Senior Mandy Gomez, managed to squeak one by CCC's goalie for the only goal of the game.  The 1-0 victory advanced DBU to the championship match. 

DBU took on Mid America Nazarene in the championship match and won the game 2-0.  Sophomore Sarah Meierhofer and Freshman Chelsea Ross each scored a goal to help DBU secure the victory.  Sophomore goalie Emily Evans had a strong tournament securing her fourth and fifth shutouts of the year.

With the two victories, DBU improved their overall record to 7-12-1 and will look to improve on that when they travel to Orlando, Florida, to take part in the National Tournament on November 15-18.
