The DBU Women's Soccer Team traveled to
Orlando, Florida , on November 16-19 to take part in the 2007 NCCAA National Tournament. The Patriots finished strong with a seventh place finish.
DBU went up against a tough Spring Arbor team in round one and lost 3-0. Round two paired the Lady Patriots against Hope International and defensive a battle ensued. The two teams played tough defense the entire game but Hope International was able to squeeze one goal past the Patriots for a 1-0 victory.
The final round of the tournament saw DBU take on and defeat Palm Beach Atlantic on the final day of the tournament. With the 2-0 victory, the Patriots secured the seventh place position at the National Tournament.
Head Coach David Granniss said, "I am really proud the way the girls played this year. They had to overcome so much with injuries. Each girl stepped up and competed in each game they played in. I know we are going to grow off this season in the years to come."
