The Dallas Baptist University Lady Patriots Soccer Team fell to 4-8-1 for the season on Friday night as they were defeated, on a very wet Patriot Field, by the Newman University Jets by the score of 2-0.  With the loss, DBU falls to 3-3 in Heartland Conference play.

The Jets took an early lead in the sixth minute of the game when Amanda Knabe put a shot past DBU goalkeeper, Haley Corbell, putting DBU down 1-0.  The Jets added to their lead in the 29th minute as Heather Baloga scored the second and final goal for Newman.

The Lady Patriots fought hard throughout the game, but could not break the Jets lead as Newman's goalkeeper stood strong in goal with five saves on the night.

The Lady Patriots are back in action on Thursday, October 15 as they travel to Austin, Texas, to take on St. Edward's University for a Heartland Conference match up.
