DALLAS – The Dallas Baptist Women's Soccer Team returned to .500 and broke even 2-1 in conference play after a controlling 4-0 victory Monday night over Oklahoma Christian. The Patriots (5-5-1, 2-1) got a pair of goals from senior
Danielle Presley and sophomore
Jessica Salas in the shutout. Oklahoma Christian (2-8-2, 0-2-1) has dropped five straight road contests.

DBU scored three goals in the first half and got started early off Salas's first career goal in the 10
th minute. Freshman
Annie Wells delivered a long pass on the assist to set Salas up for the close header.

Presley claimed a team-leading fifth goal of the season a shot from the left side to the upper middle portion of the net at the 13:40 minute mark.

About ten minutes later Salas extended the lead with her second goal of the night with about a 15 yard chip shot that snuck in the top middle of the net. The highest scoring first half of the season allowed the Patriots to pace the tempo the remainder of the way.

Coming out of a 3-0 halftime lead, Presley notched her second multi-goal match, scoring at the 48:10 mark from
Dixie Kurrus. Up 4-0, the Patriots continued its steady diet of shots, getting 11 off per half, and locking down the Eagles on defense.

"This was a good conference win tonight," Head Coach
Michelle Lenard stated. "It was a very good team effort that got us a result that we deserved."

DBU took 22 shots and 12 shots on goal for its second highest output on the year, just shy a few in both categories to the numbers put up a little over a week ago at McMurry.

Sophomore
Ashley Cox and Presley combined to take 10 shots and six shots on goal, each splitting these statistics in half with five and three. Sophomores
Emilie MacDonald and Salas added to the multi-shot performances with four and three, respectively.

The sixth year coach added, "Great goals came from both Dani and Jessica. It's good to see the girls convert good chances into goals."

Junior
Kerry Edwards (5-5-1) earned her fourth shutout on the year saving the only shot she faced.

Anna Walker allowed four goals and picked up seven saves while facing 21 shots.
