RETURN TO THE COURT – The Dallas Baptist Men's Basketball Team hits the hardwood again on Tuesday at 7 PM for a non-conference tip-off against Southeastern Oklahoma State. It wraps up a pair of contests in the Burg Center, where the Patriots (2-3) have won their last two. In the previous two home games, DBU has seen five players post double-figures and average 91.5 points.

LAST TIME OUT – On Homecoming night, several big performances were delivered, led by senior Remy Ndiaye's first career double-double with 26 points and 13 rebounds, which both counted for personal-highs. The Patriots broke the 90-point margin for the second consecutive home contest, while posting season-highs from the field at 52-percent and 51-percent from three-point range.

Also for the second time on the campaign, five Patriot players reached double-digits in the scoring column. Behind Ndiaye was redshirt freshman, Myles Johnson, claiming a season best 17 points. Season-high marks were also notched by senior, Cory Carden, and sophomore Jason Gentry, with 15 and 12 points, respectively.

The game was a tail of two different halves. The first half saw Mid-America Christian outshoot the Patriots 66-percent to 56-percent from the floor. A halftime score of 46-46 hinted that this final would be a high scoring affair.

Shooting remained stellar for DBU in the 2nd half, but went cold for the Evangels, as MACU shot a mere 21-percent in the final 20 minutes and did not hit their first shot from the field until the 10:03 mark.

PERRY LEADS SQUAD – Redshirt sophomore, Jonathan Perry, entered the year expected to be a key contributor for Dallas Baptist. Through five games he has played up to the challenge, posting double-figures in all five games and leading the team in scoring on three separate occasions.

The forward is shooting 47-percent (27-for-57) through five games, while averaging 19 ppg. Perry is also the only player to reach double-figures in each of the first five games for DBU.

A large portion of the sophomore's success has occurred at the free throw line, with Perry shooting 36-for-40 to account for a 90-percent shooting percentage. This includes a perfect 15-for-15 in the season opener versus East Texas Baptist University.

WORKING IN THE PAINT – A question the Patriots knew they were going to have to answer was how would they respond to the loss of All-Heartland Conference forward, Nick Fox.  Johnson and Ndiaye have both been answering the call so far this season, averaging 13 and 11 points-per-game (ppg), respectively. These numbers rank the duo second and third on the squad, largely in-part to both posting personal bests on Saturday.

Johnson has posted double-digits in scoring in all but one contest. The native of Arlington, Texas is shooting 50-percent (25-50) from the field

Ndiaye scored double-figures for the second time this year, racking up a career-high 26 points versus Mid America Christian on Saturday and finishing just two points shy of a team-best 28 recorded by Perry in the season opener.

The Dakar, Senegal, native has also totaled 34 boards with a career-high 13 coming on Saturday night.

SCOUTING SOUTHEASTERN OKLAHOMA STATE – The Savage Storm (4-0) remain unblemished after their latest 65-48 victory over Ouachita Baptist on Saturday. SEOSU was led by Urald King with 14 points and John Balwigaire with 13, as the team shot 40-percent from the field.

Winners of their last four, Tuesday's contest in Dallas is only the second time the Savage Storm has traveled on the road this season. They claimed a 79-72 win at Missouri S&T in the match-up.

As a whole, the team boasts a 68-shooting percentage while holding opponents to 60-percent on the floor. SEOSU has been tough on the boards as well, edging the opposition 38-32 on the glass. Turnovers have been a challenge however, as they average 21 per game and have allowed 37 steals.

The last time these programs met was the 2011-12 season, with the road team emerging as the victor in both contests. The Patriots took the first contest between the two teams, posting a convincing 76-51 score on December 1st in Durant, Oklahoma.  At the Burg Center just nine days later, DBU was on the unfortunate side of a 69-67 loss to the Savage Storm.

WORTH NOTING
The Patriots have turned the ball over 66 times total, averaging 13.2 per game, while opponents have committed 82 at a 16.4 clip.
Five of the next six contests for DBU are at the Burg Center.
DBU is 2-1 at home, averaging 86.7 points while allowing 75.7.

UPCOMING SCHEDULE – Dallas Baptist Men's Basketball travels down the road for a solo road contest at the University of Texas at Arlington. Tip-off is slated on December 3rd at 7:30 PM. Following that match-up, the Patriots hosts one of their longest home stands with a trio of games in the friendly confines.
