Â
The two clubs traded shots in a true back-and-forth first half, which produced 17 lead changes and eight ties. The final lead change of the half came on a

Â
"It was a good contest right before half, we went into the break with momentum," said DBU Head Coach
Blake Flickner. "But Newman caught fire in the second, their shooters were really knocking them down. We ran into a buzz saw tonight with this Newman team."

Jason Gentry passing off six assists.
Â
"We'd really like for Remy (Ndiaye) to give us a presence inside and be a scoring force for us," added the DBU Head Coach. "Then when they double inside, we have to take of advantage of that."
Â
For the visitors, Marquis Cuyler led the way with 22 points, earning the double-double by pulling down 10 boards. Trae Beck added 15 points, with Elhad Emerllahu pitching in 14. Ryan McCarthy and Jeremy Espinoza also tossed in 11 and 10 points, respectively.

Â
"Saturday's game will be similar to this one," concluded the DBU Head Coach. "They have some guards that can score a lot of points in a hurry. They will be a challenge, coming off a big win over Rogers State."
