Â
Tied at 14 apiece in the game's first seven minutes, DBU seized the lead on a Bryant three-pointer with 12:49 to play in the first half and never looked back. Heading into the locker room after the first 20 minutes of action, the Patriots held a 47-32 advantage.Â
Â
DBU would extend that margin to as many as 22 with 16:40 to play when Lilly drained a shot from beyond the arc. The Patriots continued their offensive assault, outscoring the Crusaders 34-14 over the next 10 minutes to extend their lead to as many as 42. Dallas Christian chipped away in the final minutes to trim the margin to 31 at the final buzzer.Â
Dallas Baptist has now eclipsed the 90 point mark twice this year after coming off a 93-89 win over Colorado Christian on Saturday. Last year, the Patriots scored more than 90 points on just three different occasions.
