Men's Tennis Falls to Metro State

The Dallas Baptist Men's Tennis Team fell 9-0 to Metro State at DBU Kiest on Thursday afternoon. DBU moves to 1-3 on the campaign, after they claimed its first win last Saturday at Southwestern Christian University.

In the Doubles matchups, the Patriots best effort came in a close 8-5 defeat that featured sophomore, Anthony Burch, and freshman, Matthew Chappell in the No. 1 slot.

Burch also provided a solid contest in the first set against Metro State's Adrien Delvaux, falling 7-5 and 6-1 in the No. 1 Singles. Chappell was defeated by Jonathan Evangelista in the No. 3 slot, 6-2, 7-6.

At the four slot in singles, Trevor Jones defeated freshman, Colby Milner 6-4, 6-0.

Dallas Baptist returns to the court Friday in a road affair at St. Edward's University for a 1 PM start. The Patriots continue the busy three-day stretch with a match-up at Texas Lutheran on Saturday at 2 PM.
