The Dallas Baptist Men's Tennis Team dropped a 9-0 match against Heartland foe, No. 25 St. Edward's University, on Friday. The setback is the second in a row for the Patriots (1-4) who also were defeated Thursday at home to Metro State.  
 
DBU fell in all three Doubles matches to put them in a 3-0 hole it couldn't overcome. Sophomore, Anthony Burch, and freshman, Matthew Chappell were defeated by Maximo Agoglia and Adrian Garza in the #1 slot, 8-2.
 
Another 8-2 final in the #2 doubles featured Patrick Clynes and Alexandre Bueno defeating DBU's freshman, Dean Dahlsten, and sophomore, Bryant Forshee.
 
The Patriots played SEU to three sets in one of six single matches on the day. Chappell competed in that affair, which was the #3 slate for DBU. The Seguin, Texas, native won 6-3 in the first set, but then came up short in the next set, 6-3, and 10-4 in the tiebreaker.
 
Dahlsten is winner in two of past three singles for DBU, moved to 2-3 overall after Adrian Garza topped him in pair of 6-3 sets for the #4 slot.
 
Dallas Baptist play at Texas A&M-Kingsville on Saturday and travel to Jacksonville College in Jacksonville, Texas. Contest is set at 4 PM on Friday, Feb. 28.
