The Dallas Baptist Men's Tennis Team was edged 6-3 on Friday morning versus Schreiner University. The Patriots move to 1-13 on the campaign, after falling at DBU Kiest.
Sophomore,
Bryant Forshee, nabbed DBU's first victory on the day in the #2 singles, claiming 6-2,6-4 decisions over Stephen Rogers. In the #3 spot, freshman,
Dean Dahlsten, powered past Josh Ramirez in closely contested 6-4, 6-7, 10-6 results.
Anthony Burch competed in the #1 slot for the Patriots against Austin Carrola. The sophomore opened the first set 6-4, before dropping a 6-3 second set. The final match was determined by a final tally, 10-2.
Claiming his first collegiate win in tennis was freshman,
Brandon O'Donovan, appearing in just his second career contest. The College Station, Texas, native recorded 7-6, 6-4 in the #5 slot of the affair.
Dallas Baptist is back in action tomorrow playing McMurry University at 1 PM. The Patriots meet Heartland Conference foe at Abilene, Texas.
