The Dallas Baptist Men's Tennis Team split a two-contest Saturday against a pair of Heartland Conference opponents. The Patriots (1-17, 0-5) were shutout by Newman (9-8, 1-2) and Texas-Permian Basin (7-5, 1-2).
In the afternoon affair versus the Falcons, DBU was topped in all three doubles matches. Eventually the home squad would be defeated in each single round, despite strong efforts from some players.
Sophomore,
Anthony Burch, pulled together two, 6-3, contested match-ups, with UTPB's Justin Pena in the #1 slot. Behind them in the #2 line was sophomore,
Bryant Forshee, being defeated by Jonathan Rutledge with a pair of sets scored 6-4 apiece.
Debuting for the Men's Tennis Team in the #4 spot, was Cameron Vose. He managed to duplicate 6-2 totals in each set, falling to Adam Cheney.
DBU is back on the court at Bethel at North Newton, Kansas, on April 4 for a 3 PM start time.
