The Dallas Baptist Men's Tennis Team fell 9-0 against St. Mary's University on Friday evening. The setback is the fifth in a row for the Patriots as they move to 1-7 overall and 0-2 versus Heartland opponents.
DBU was unable to find any momentum in the doubles' matches getting swept 3-0. Sophomore,
Anthony Burch, fell in the #1 slot to StMU's Michael Maciel by totals 6-3, 6-0.
In the #2 and #5 spot, freshman,
Bryant Forshee, and sophomore,
Ty McAllister, dropped both sets 6-1. McAllister made his debut this spring by also teaming up with Forshee in the #2 doubles match-up. The duo was defeated by Bob Resink and Matt Banner, 8-1.
Freshman, Colby Milner, dropped his sets in the #4 slot to Carlos Olea 6-1, 6-2.
Dallas Baptist will be in action again tomorrow as they host University of Arkansas-Fort Smith at Arlington Tennis Center. Start time is slated for 3 PM.
