Kickoff is slated for 7 PM, as the Patriots (2-1-1) look to push their winning streak to three games.
The last time DBU held a winning record against non-conference opponents was following a 3-0 victory over Texas Woman's University in 2013. It lifted the Patriots to a 3-2-1 result on the season at the time.
All four affairs the Women's Soccer Team has been involved in have been low scoring, as the squad has pitched consecutive shutouts and allowed three combined goals to the opposition overall. DBU has tallied no more than two goals thus far, and has totaled five altogether.
MOST RECENT ACTIONAn overtime contest against Fort Lewis College was resolved at the 91:47 mark by a goal kicked from junior
Ashley Cox. It was her team-leading second of the campaign and her golden foot provided the difference of a 1-0 final.
Fellow classmate
Emilie MacDonald initiated the sequence with a stellar pass deep from the left side of the box. It was her first assist of the year and fifth in the Cedar Hill, Texas, native's career.
Despite 21 shot attempts, FLC was ruthless on the defensive side of the ball, and kept the Patriots from getting past the target through regulation. Cox led the way with six shots, followed by junior
Lindsey Eccles with four, and a team-best three on goal.
Senior
Kerry Edwards picked up three saves, two coming with less than 10 minutes in the second half. It was the McKinney, Texas, native's 40
th overall shutout through four years of starting for DBU in the net.
PLAYERS TO WATCHAshley Cox impressive shot total increased to 17 as the Midlothian, Texas, native has done well the last pair of home matches. Both her goals have come in the friendly confines, and the forward has placed four of seven shots on goal in home matches.
Senior
Lea Sedwick also has broken double-digits on the squad with 11 shots and is tied for second with MacDonald with three points. Each player has a goal and assist.
A trio of players are tied for third with seven shot attempts. Redshirt junior

Jolee Patterson is the remaining player with multiple points, off her first goal in a 2-1 setback at Metro State.
Edwards expects to suit up for the 74th collegiate match in the keeper's career. She guides a Patriot defense that together hasn't allowed a goal in 213:82 minutes.
On the campaign, the goalie recorded 18 saves and allowed three goals in 381:47 minutes. A very notable contest was holding at the time No. 9 Colorado School of Mines to a single score through double overtime.
SCOUTING THE LIONSTexas A&M University-Commerce (3-1) enters coming off a monumental win at No. 2 University of West Florida, shutting them out 2-0. The Lions are hoping to move into the top 25 Division II rankings, which are set to be released on Tuesday.
Leading the offense for A&M-Commerce is Savannah Henderson, with four goals, nine points, and 19 shots. Also cracking double figures in shot attempts is Jade Bell, who has notched 12 and found the back of the net twice.
Callie Annett and Madison Cordts round out the scoring, and put the netters in versus West Florida in the impressive result.
Three of the Lions' contests have been shutouts, with the squad pitching two of them. Courtnie Northern has allowed only three goals through 320:16 minutes.
SERIES HISTORYThe Patriots have a long-standing history with A&M-Commerce, going 2-7 in the series.
Both pairs of triumphs occurred in the last four match-ups, as DBU won in 2010 and 2012.
In the most recent victory, Eccles poured on a pair of goals and Edwards managed a shutout in the 2-0 final. It was a scoreless battle through the first 60 minutes.
Last year, DBU was blanked on the road against A&M-Commerce, 4-0. In the match,
Ashley Cox attempted the highest amount of shots with four, while departed senior
Danielle Presley and Sedwick added two apiece.
HOME SWEET HOME The Patriots collected a 7-2 record last season, and have compiled a 22-6-1 showing the past three years.
This year the Women's Soccer Team only plays at Patriot Soccer Field six times. The longest stretch is the current three-game home stand. That could change if DBU finishes first in the Heartland Conference Standings and hosts the league tournament in November.
