Men's Tennis Edges Schreiner 5-4

THE LEAD
The Dallas Baptist Men's Tennis Team would pull out a close match as they defeated Schreiner University with a score of 5-4.

Falling behind early in line 3 competition of doubles play. Cannon Jones and Zane Nelson would tie the match up at 1-1, winning at Line 1 doubles by a score of 8-3. The brotherly duo of Bryant and Leighton Forshee would extend the lead for the Patriots 2-1 with a Line doubles score of 8-6.

In singles action, DBU would open up with Zane Nelson winning Line 3 with a score of 6-2, 6-1. His victory would be followed by Cannon Jones at the Line 1 position with a score of 6-1,6-1.

Despite the Patriots being up 4-1, Schreiner would make a late rally as they would take victories in Line 5 and 6 to close DBU's lead to 4-3.

In Line 4 Jordan Jackson would seal the win for the Patriots winning 6-0, 6-4.

The Patriots will remain in Kerrville, TX at Schreiner University as they will take on Sul Ross State on Saturday, February 14. The match is set to begin at 10 am.
