THE LEAD
The Dallas Baptist Men's Tennis Team visited Albuquerque,New Mexico to take on the Colorado Mesa Mavericks and fell short by a score of 5-1. Cannon Jones would win the only set of the day for the Patriots by defeating CMU's Jordan Lyden who is ranked #44 in the nation.

Colorado Mesa jumped out to an early lead in doubles play defeating DBU's Line 1 and Line 2, each by a score of 8-2. Anthony Burch and Isaac Childs had a very tough battle playing doubles in Line 3 and ended up falling 7-9.

CMU would then open singles play by defeating Jordan Jackson 2-6, 1-6 in Line 4. Cannon Jones in Line 1 would get a big win against #44 ranked Jordan Lyden by a score of 1-6, 7-5 ,10-8.

The Mavericks delivered the final blow in Line 2 of singles play with DBU's Leighton Forshee falling of 2-6, 2-6.
