The Patriots would start the day scoring the first point of the match with Nelson and
Cannon Jones winning in Line 1 doubles competition 8-4. DBU would fall in Lines 2 and 3, leaving them in a 2-1 deficit.
To open singles play, Jones in Line 1 and
Leighton Forshee in Line 2 would battle valiantly to tie breakers in their sets, but ultimately falling short putting UTPB up 4-1.
Nelson's second point for the Patriots would come in Line 3, where he would come out on top 7-5, 6-1.
UTPB would go on to claim Line's 4 through 6 ultimately giving them a 7-2 win over the Patriots.
