THE LEAD
In day one of the National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) Men's Tennis National Championship Tournament, the Dallas Baptist Men's Tennis Team would go 1-1 as they defeated Cedarville University, 5-2 and fell to Palm Beach Atlantic University 5-0.

In the first match of the day versus Cedarville, the Patriots would claim 2 of the three Lines of play in doubles with Cannon Jones and Zane Nelson claiming No. 1 by a score of 8-5 and Jake Johnson and Isaac Childs claiming No. 3 by a score of 8-4.

In singles action, DBU claimed three of the four played matches, with two matches going unfinished.

Jones would seal No.1 with a score of 6-4, 6-4. In No. 3 Anthony Burch would prevail, 6-4,6-2 and Johnson sealed the match in No. 6 with a score of 3-6, 6-2, 6-1.

It would be a different outcome for the Patriots in their following match, as they fell to Palm Beach Atlantic, 5-0. DBU would be swept in all singles and doubles matches with four singles matches going unfinished.
