The Dallas Baptist University Women's Soccer team defeated Texas A&M International University, 4-0, on Saturday afternoon at Patriot Soccer Field in Dallas, Texas.
Kristina Williamson and
Katelyn Havard each registered a goal and an assist to lead the Patriot offense.

Cecily Martinez put DBU on the board first in the 4th minute, receiving a pass from
Emmy Niece and chipping it over goalkeeper Kiyana Lopez. The Patriots extended the lead to 2-0 when
Maggie Scales headed in a flick from
Kristina Williamson in the 28th minute.

Havard picked up her first point of the match in the 36th minute after crossing the ball into the box for Williamson, who dribbled around a defender and scored past Lopez. Havard scored a goal of her own to make it 4-0 in the 65th minute as she received a cross from
McKenna Namken at the backside of the goal and headed it in.

The Patriots look to win their fourth straight match when they take on Lubbock Christian in the semifinals of the Heartland Conference Tournament at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday at Lewis-Chen Family Field in Austin, Texas.

 - DBU placed eight on the All-Heartland Conference team, as announced by the league office on Tuesday, headlined by
Mackenzie Rice's First Team selection.

SCOUTING LUBBOCK CHRISTIAN
The Chaps are making their second straight appearance in the Heartland Conference Tournament after a first-round exit at the hands of St. Edward's in 2015. LCU features seven All-Heartland Conference selections, including four First Team honorees.

Haley Knesek and Hollie Windham, both First Team All-Conference selections, combined for 18 goals and nine assists this season. Sarah Palmer, tabbed to the Third Team, allowed just 16 goals this season and recorded eight shutouts.

SERIES HISTORY
DBU is undefeated in five meetings with the Chaps, including a 1-1 draw in Lubbock on October 20. Haley Knesek, the Heartland Conference leader in points, goals and assists, scored in the 43rd minute to give LCU a short-lived lead. Just 19 seconds later,
Leah Draper found the back of the net for the first time this season to level the score at 1-1.
