DBU Baseball's Austin Listi has been named a Third Team All-American by the American Baseball Coaches Association today.  Listi, a senior from Huffman, Texas, hit .336 and led the Missouri Valley Conference in home runs with 24, while collecting 55 RBI in 2017.  The Patriots' first baseman set the school's all-time home run record, smashing 53 home runs over his four-year career, while also setting a new single-season record for home runs in DBU Baseball's Division I era. 

With today's announcement, Listi becomes the ninth player to earn All-American honors from the ABCA dating back to 2006.  The ABCA/Rawlings All-Americans are selected by the ABCA All-America committee, which is chaired by Dean Ehehalt of Monmouth University.  The committee also includes head coaches Dan Heefner (DBU), George Horton (Oregon), Steve Jaksa (Central Michigan), Brian O'Connor (Virginia), Tommy Raffo (Arkansas State), Mike Stone (Massachusetts), and Butch Thompson (Auburn).

Listi was also recently named a Second Team All-American by the Collegiate Baseball Newspaper, making him the 14th player from DBU to earn All-American honors.  Listi joins a distinguished list of All-Americans from DBU that includes Drew Holder (2006), Jason Krizan (2009 & 2011), Ryan Goins (2009), Ryan Enos (2010), Tyler Robbins (2011), Boomer Collins (2012), Joel Hutter (2012), Duncan McAlpine (2013), Chance Adams (2015), Brandon Koch (2015), Darick Hall (2016), and Colin Poche (2016).
