THE RUNDOWN
DBU put the gas pedal to the floor and didn't look back in a 21-3 win Sunday in the rubber game of its series at No. 22 Sam Houston State. Jimmy Glowenke and Tim Millard each hit two of the Patriots' five home runs in the victory.

Kody Funderburk picked up an RBI double, and Garrett Wolforth drove in two with a single in the inning. Sam Houston would get a run back in the bottom of the first, but it was all Patriots from there.
Devlin Granberg homered in the fourth, his seventh of the season to left field on Sequeira's first pitch of the inning. Millard hit his first bomb to lead off the fifth, and Luke Bandy drove in two with a single later in the frame.
The sixth inning was DBU's biggest Sunday. 15 batters came to the plate, with 12 straight reaching base. the Patriots scored 11 times, including a grand slam by Glowenke and Millard's second blast. Glowenke homered again in the eighth to put the cherry on top of the Patriots' outburst.

DBU HEAD COACH DAN HEEFNER ON A KEY ROAD SERIES WIN
"That's a huge win for us and I'm really proud of our guys, especially with the adversity we've had to go through recently. Our guys were ready from pitch number one and stayed locked in the entire game."
