COUNTDOWN TO KICKOFF
The No. 18 Patriots are set to resume action on the pitch against UTPB on the road at 5:00 p.m. Thursday. The match will be DBU's third conference matchup on the season after a 3-2 win versus Midwestern State.

The Patriots (5-0-1, 2-0) opened the scoring in the 8th minute with Delaney Schmidt scoring from the foot of Summerlyn Heller for the assist. Midwestern State countered as Imani Morlock delivered a blast from 30 yards out to even the match at 1-1. Minutes later Sara Machado gave the Mustangs the 2-1 lead.

In the 31st minute DBU would answer back as Taylor Gurnett scored her first career goal as a Patriot, knotting the score at 2-2. Gurnett's effort was followed by Kaci Parks' goal in the 48th minute to give DBU the 3-2 win.

PATRIOT STORYLINES
 - Delaney Schmidt leads the Patriots and is tied for fifth in the Lone Star Conference with four goals. 
 - DBU is in a four way tie for first place in the Lone Star Conference with Texas Woman's, Lubbock Christian and St. Edward's.
 - The Patriots are scoring 2.55 goals per game while holding opponents to just 1.60 goals per game.
 - Kaci Parks has two game-winning goals, ranking her third in the conference.
 - DBU ranks third in goals and assists as a team in the LSC.

The Patriots are 16-1-1 all-time against the Falcons and have won each of the last twelve matchups. DBU defeated UTPB 6-1 on October 15 of the 2015 season.
