The DBU men battled a veteran Hardin-Simmons squad but went onto win the match 5-2 due to two big wins in doubles play from Gabe Garrido, Josh Williams, Brian Nguyen and Andre Edwards. Nguyen won a pivotal point at line two in both of his matches that gave momentum in favor of the Patriots moving forward. Against McMurry, Jacob Harris made his season debut at line six to seal a 6-1 overall win.
