THE LEAD
The DBU Men's Tennis team will host St. Edward's Thursday afternoon at Kiest Park in Dallas. The Patriots (9-14) are coming off a 5-0 loss to Heartland Conference opponent St. Mary's on the road.
Against St. Mary's, the Patriots dropped the match at line one in doubles play, but bounced back as
Riley Smith and Andrew Hallowell took their match at line three. DBU then lost the point by losing at line two.
Grant McKenzie was ahead of his opponent late in the third set at line one but didn't get to finish due to the match being clinched.

SCOUTING ST. EDWARD'S
The Hilltoppers are 12-6 on the season, and recently fell to No. 13 Cameron in Lawton, OK. The Hilltoppers were unable to pick up any points in singles action, but did push two tilts to three sets. Chase Bartlett went down in straight sets at the fourth flight, which put Cameron up 2-0. Diaz dropped the first frame at the second position (6-4), but evened his contest with a 6-3 win in set two. Mritunjay Badola then won the final panel, 6-3, to make it 3-0 in favor of the Aggies. Gabriel Zuniga won his opening set against Przemyslaw Zielinksi at No. 3 singles. However, Zielinski rallied to win the final two frames to clinch the tilt.
