2018 IN REVIEW
The DBU Women's Soccer team finished the 2018 season ranked No. 16 in the United Soccer Coaches national poll. The Patriots finished the season 13-5-5 and made an appearance in the NCAA South Central Regional Final. DBU is one of only ten teams in the nation to reach the NCAA Tournament in each of the last five years.

DBU earned their fifth straight NCAA Tournament berth with a win over St. Edward's in penalty kicks in the Heartland Conference Tournament Championship Game. Another penalty kick victory over then No. 4 Colorado School of Mines helped propel DBU into the round of 16. The Patriots' season ended in a seven-round penalty kick loss to West Texas A&M, which finished ranked No. 7 in the country.

PATRIOT STORYLINES
 - Returning players accounted for 30 of the Patriots' 40 goals and 28 of 29 assists in 2018.

 - DBU received eight first place votes in the Lone Star Conference Pre-Season poll, finishing only behind West Texas A&M for the number one spot.

 -  The Patriots' Maggie Scales was selected as the LSC Preseason Defensive Player of the Year. Scales, a senior from McKinney, Texas, was tabbed the Heartland Conference Defensive Player of the Year in 2018 and is a two-time All-South Central Region selection.

 - The Patriots finished 2018 winning seven of the last eight games.

 - DBU is in search of its tenth straight winning season. 

SCOUTING UCO
 - The Bronchos are ranked No. 9 nationally in the United Soccer Coaches' Preseason Poll and were picked to finish first in the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association.

 - The Bronchos return a sophomore from Houston, Texas, in Kelsi Gibson, the reigning MIAA Goalkeeper of the Year. Gibson posted 11 shutouts and 0.58 goals allowed average earned her MIAA All-Conference honors.
 
- UCO returns 17 letter winners and eight starters from a team that last season went 22-2, the Bronchos won the MIAA regular season championship, the MIAA postseason tournament title, and made a run to the NCAA Division II National Championship Round of 16.

 - UCO averaged 3.42 goals per game last season, which tied an MIAA single season record, and allowed just 0.58 goals per game.

SERIES HISTORY
DBU is 3-8 all-time against UCO. The Patriots defeated UCO in the last matchup by a score of 2-1 on September 13, 2013.
