THE RUNDOWN
The DBU Men's Tennis team struggled in their trip to Florida dropping all three matches during the week. On Tuesday, the Patriots dropped a 5-2 decision to St. Thomas Aquinas. The following day, DBU fell 6-1 to a Denison team ranked No. 10 in the nation in the NCAA Division III ranks. The Patriots concluded their trip on Thursday with a 4-0 loss to Eckerd College.

In the opening loss to St. Thomas Aquinas, the Patriots took picked up a point with two wins in doubles. The teams of Arturo Langle and Fabian Rosales (line 2) and Bradley Neil and Will Fiala (line 3) each pulled out 7-6 wins. The Patriots struggled in singles play, losing five of six points. DBU's lone win came from Rosales at the line 6 position.

On Wednesday against Dension, DBU suffered losses in all three doubles matches. The Patriots' lone point in singles came from Grant McKenzie who won the first set at the line 2 spot before claiming victory after his opponent retired in the second set.

DBU closed out the week against Eckerd College on Thursday. The tandem of Langle and Rosales notched their second win of the week in line 2 doubles, but the Patriots would not be able to notch another win and earn the point in doubles action.

DBU HEAD COACH WADE MORGAN ON THE TEAM'S WEEK IN FLORIDA
"We competed very hard these past few matches. We had lots of opportunities and bright spots to be proud of. We still have to be more consistent across the board in singles. I'm very happy with our doubles right now, but we have to get the level up in singles, especially since we have tough matches coming up."
