THE RUNDOWN
The DBU Men's Tennis team reached the 10-win mark this season after splitting a pair of matches over the weekend to Southeastern Oklahoma State and McMurry. On Thursday, the Patriots dropped a 6-1 decision to SEOSU before shutting out McMurry, 7-0, on Saturday at the Arlington Tennis Center. With the split, DBU is now 10-4 heading into Lone Star Conference action.
In Friday's loss to SEOSU,
Matthew Abbey recorded DBU's lone point, notching a win in line 1 singles over Thabo Ncube, 7-5, 6-4
Back home at the Arlington Tennis Center on Saturday, the Patriots blanked McMurry, 7-0. Abbey once again shined in line 1 singles, winning in straight sets, 6-2, 6-2, over Reid Smith.

Alec Rule (line 4),
Zach Capone (line 5), and
Mariano Guzman (line 6) also won their matches in straight sets. In doubles, Abbey and Arutro Langle teamed up to cruise to a 6-2 win at the line one position, while the teams of

Alec Rule /
Matthew Wehrle (line 3) also won in straight sets.

DBU hosts a pair of Lone Star Conference matches against UT Permian Basin on Friday and Western New Mexico on Saturday. Both matches will be played at the Arlington Tennis Center.
