Men's Tennis Sweeps the Competition in Arkansas

THE RUNDOWN
The DBU Men's Tennis team swept the field in Conway, Arkansas, against all three opponents over the weekend. Defeating Hendrix, 7-2, and John Brown, 5-2, on Friday before defeating the University of the Ozarks, 6-0, on Saturday. 

Arturo Langle and Alec Rule led the way for the Patriots after going 3-0 in singles play. Fabian Rosales, Edgar Mayorga, Arturo Beitman, Ricardo Carvajalino, Jacob Capone, and Trevor Vacarro each notched a mark in the win column in singles play. 

In doubles play, the Patriots went 5-3 over the weekend, headlined by Trevor Vaccaro and Will Fiala, who swept all three of their weekend matches.

"This was a great weekend of matches for the guys. This weekend, we did a great job of stepping up in the big moments in singles and doubles. We are looking forward to continuing to improve as we go this spring."

UP NEXT
The Patriots return to action on February 16-17 when they host three matches against Texas Wesleyan, Texas A&M- Texarkana, and Southeastern Oklahoma State at the Arlington Tennis Center.
