THE RUNDOWN
The top-ranked DBU Women's Soccer team powered its way into the Lone Star Conference Championship with a commanding 4–0 win over UT Tyler in Thursday night's semifinal at Patriot Soccer Field. Sophomore midfielder Emma Croley delivered the best performance of her young career, scoring twice for her first collegiate brace and propelling the Patriots into Sunday's title match against Texas Woman's University.

After a tightly contested opening 30 minutes, Croley broke the scoreless deadlock in the 38th minute, finishing a perfectly timed pass from Angelina Olmos, who with the assist tied the program's all-time career assist record. Despite being outshot 9–8 in the first half, DBU carried a 1–0 advantage into the break.

The Patriots wasted no time taking full control after halftime. Joeli Benson struck just two minutes into the second half to double the lead, and three minutes later McKenna Vela netted her team-leading 11th goal of the season to make it 3–0.

With just over 20 minutes remaining, Croley delivered the highlight of the night—curling a sensational left-footed strike from the top of the box into the upper-left corner to seal the 4–0 victory. DBU dominated the second half, outshooting UT Tyler 9–2 over the final 45 minutes.
