The DBU Men's Soccer team dropped a hard-fought 1-0 decision to UT Tyler on Thursday night at Citizens First Bank-Perkins Soccer Complex in Tyler, Texas.
In a tightly contested battle between the two sets of Patriots, the match remained scoreless for more than 70 minutes until UT Tyler's Henrique Caputo delivered the decisive goal in the 73rd minute.
Despite the setback, DBU created quality opportunities in the second half, outshooting UTT 6-2 after the break and generating consistent pressure in the attacking third. Both of the contest's shots on goal came from DBU, but UT Tyler's goalkeeper Niclas Becker stood tall to preserve the clean sheet.
The match featured physical play throughout, with the two sides combining for 15 fouls alongside their 15 total shots.
