THE RUNDOWN
DBU (19-4, 12-2 LSC) swept Oklahoma Christian (15-11, 8-6 LSC) Friday night, as the Patriots increased their winning streak to four.
Lauren Witte led everyone on the floor with 15 kills, and did so without a single attack error, finishing the game with a whopping .577 hitting percentage (15/26).

The Patriots were out-killed in set one 16-15, but would ride the momentum of four blocks to an eventual set one victory. DBU trailed 11-8 in the opening frame, but would regain the lead with a big block by
Aizlyn Dewberry and
Avery Keck as part of a 5-0 run. The Patriots wouldn't relinquish their advantage for the remainder of the set, jumping out to a 1-0 lead.
Lauren Witte and
Karly Wells combined for nine kills in the opening set.

In a frame that featured ten ties and four lead changes, DBU was still able to claim a set two victory by a margin of six points. Trailing 16-14, the Patriots once again took over with a dominant run, this time icing the set after winning 11 of the last 14 rallies.
Liz Goodspeed earned her first two collegiate kills in the second frame, and Wells put the bow on top with her eighth kill of the night serving as point 25.

Set three mirrored the dominance the Patriots showed last time out against Lubbock Christian: They held the Eagles to a .083 hitting percentage, while feasting to the tune of a .424 mark on their own side of the net. The frame began the same way the previous one ended, with a
Karly Wells tally, and the Patriots held that lead until
Aizlyn Dewberry put the final nail in the coffin.
