THE RUNDOWN
Thursday night, DBU (6-2, 0-0 LSC) swept Cameron (0-9, 0-0 LSC) in an offensive showcase.
Lauren Witte led everyone with 19 kills in a game that saw three different Patriots post a hitting percentage of .400. DBU produced 54 kills as a team tonight, more than doubling Cameron's total of 24. The Patriots have now swept the Aggies in each of their last five matchups.

Karly Wells's first kill of the match gave DBU a 2-1 lead in the first set, a lead that the Patriots would hold onto for the remainder of the set. Cameron would tie the score at 13, but DBU would go on to win 12 of the next 16 rallies, winning the opening frame by a score of 25-17.
Lauren Witte (6) and Wells (5) combined for 11 kills in set one.

The Patriots jumped out to a 6-0 advantage to open the middle frame, kickstarted by a block from
Aizlyn Dewberry and
Reagan Fifer. The Aggies finally got
Claire Conner off the baseline, just for DBU to turn around and increase their lead even more (10-3). Cameron would eventually come within one point of the Patriots (14-13), but DBU then rattled off another six unanswered points, establishing enough space to control the set.

Set three saw the Patriots trailing by as much as six points on two separate occasions: once at 7-1, and once at 17-11. However, DBU would not let tonight's contest go beyond three sets, as the red, white, and blue went on a whopping 14-4 stretch to claim a win in straight sets. Once again, Wells (6) and Witte (5) combined for 11 kills in the set to anchor the DBU attack to a comeback set win.
