The Dallas Baptist University Lady Patriots dropped to 4-9-1 for the season on Thursday night in Austin, Texas, as they were defeated by the St. Edward's University Hilltoppers by the score of 4-0.  With the loss, DBU fell to 3-4 in Heartland Conference play.

The Hilltoppers jumped ahead early on Thursday as Crystal Trevino powered in a shot from 15 yards out to give St. Edward's a 1-0 lead.  The Lady Patriots defense could not hold tight as the Hilltoppers ended the first half with their second goal to lead 2-0.

St. Edward's added two more goals in the second half to defeat the Lady Patriots by the score of 4-0.  With the win, the Hilltoppers improve their record to 6-0 in Heartland Conference play and 11-1-1 overall for the season.

The Lady Patriots are back in action on Saturday, October 17 as they travel to San Antonio to play St. Mary's University.  Kick-off is scheduled for 2:00 p.m.
