Heartland Conference Volleyball Tournament Set to Begin Friday

The Heartland Conference Volleyball Tournament is set to begin this Friday and Saturday on the campus of St. Edward's University in Austin, Texas. St. Edward's, who won their third straight Heartland Conference Championship, will be the number one seed heading into the tournament. Newman, St. Mary's, and Dallas Baptist complete the field for the four-team tournament, with the winner receiving the conference's automatic bid to the NCAA tournament.

The Lady Patriots will look to repeat as conference tournament champions after defeating St. Edward's last year in the championship game. DBU handed the University of the Incarnate Word a 3-1 loss in the opening round before taking the number one seed, St. Edward's to a game five tie-breaker.
