The Dallas Baptist Lady Patriot Soccer Team traveled to Tyler on Saturday to take on the University of Texas at Tyler. The Lady Patriots fell in their first road game of the season, 1-0, moving DBU to 0-2.

DBU played hard on the defensive side of the ball throughout the game but UT Tyler forward Lauren Thomas scored the go ahead goal in the 78th minute. UT Tyler outshot Dallas Baptist, 12-11, with Thomas' being the only shot that reached the back of the net.

Senior Goalkeeper Haley Corbell recorded five saves on the night for the Lady Patriots.

The Lady Patriots return to Dallas for their next contest, a home game against Texas A&M-Commerce on Thursday, September 9. Kick-off is set for 7:00 p.m. at Patriot Field.
