Three more runs for UTA in the top of the seventh, gave the Mavericks a 6-1 lead, chasing Stafford from the game. Redshirt Sophomore
Michael Smith entered the game with the bases loaded and only one out, and managed to get out of the inning after allowing only three unearned runs.
A double by Sophomore
Duncan McAlpine resulted in another run for the Patriots in the bottom half of the inning after Senior
Josh Wilson pushed him across the plate with a RBI single to center field.
DBU pulled to within two runs in the eighth, making it a 6-4 game. After a leadoff walk by Robbins, Senior
