With a record attendance at Patriot Soccer Field on Saturday night, the Lady Patriot Soccer Team battled to the very end against the Pioneers of Texas Woman's University in a double-overtime tie of 1-1.
The Pioneers got out to an early start as TWU's Birttany Martin punched in a close goal in the first two minutes of play. The Lady Patriots bounced back and found the back of the net in the first period as freshman midfielder

Brittany Layne attempted two superb shots at the Pioneer's goalkeeper.
Overtime play between the Pioneers and Patriots evolved in to a defensive battle as both team's goalkeepers saved six total shots, resulting in a 1-1 tie.
The Lady Patriots will be back in action on Monday, September 5, at Patriot Soccer Field, as they take on the Lady Buffs from West Texas A&M University – kickoff scheduled for 11:00 a.m.
