Kickoff is set for 7:30 PM following the DBU Women's Soccer Team game. This contest counts as Heartland Conference opener for both squads.
In 2013, the Patriots posted a 4-4-1 record against the league, improving from a one win total in their inaugural year.
After going 3-6 last season in one-goal games and 0-2 in overtime affairs; DBU has reflected a 3-1 showing in games decided by a goal. Its latest two wins have occurred in extra regulation, improving the team to 2-0 in such decisions.
LAST TIME OUTThe Patriots snapped a four-game slide, by rallying in a 2-1 victory over McMurry University a week ago at Patriot Soccer Field. Junior
Brian Robertson punched his second goal of the year in consecutive matches, and his overtime netter at the 94:00 mark lifted the squad to an impressive win.
DBU broke a season-high in shot attempts with 25, as a trio of players combined for 19 in the effort. Leading the way was senior
David Balyeat, who pounded seven overall and four on goal. Sophomore
Riley Alvey and Robertson each finished with six shots and had heroics in the nail biter.
After falling behind 1-0 a little over a minute in the second half, Alvey finally found the back of the net in the 53
rd minute to knot things back up. It ties him with a team-high, three goals on the year.
Sophomore
Mason Stringer picked up his third win of the campaign, allowing a goal and deflecting three of McMurry's 13 game shots. The native of Burleson, Texas worked all 94 minutes in between the posts.
IMPACT PLAYERSLeading the way for the Patriots on offense are redshirt sophomore
Landon Lacy and Alvey with three goals and seven points apiece. Lacy is one goal away from matching his season-best in 2012.
Last weekend, Alvey matched his rookie campaign total in goals with three, and is now a point away from tying the amount the forward accumulated in 2013.
Robertson is ahead on the team with 22 shot attempts, and ranks third on the squad with six points. His game-winner against McMurry was his second of the midfielder's career. Both happened with the Warhawks as the opponent at Patriot Soccer Field.
Stringer has earned five starts in the goalkeeper position for the Patriots. He tied his career win total in 2013 last Saturday. The goalkeeper has combined for 22 saves and faced 77 shots through 463:28 minutes on the year.
HOME SWEET HOMEThe Patriots were away most of the month of September, after producing a 1-1 record in the opening week of the calendar. DBU is in the midst of a four-game home stretch, and currently is 1-0 with three games approaching in the next seven days.
Three of the four contests are versus non-conference foes.
Last year, DBU posted a 4-3 record at Patriot Soccer Field, partly due to a 3-3 home stand on a six-game span that lasted through the later part of the campaign. A pair of those setbacks were determined by a goal.
After this home stand, the Patriots will be gone for their second five-game road trip, before concluding the regular season slate with two conference matchups.

th and 78
th minutes respectively.
